SUMMARY:Mushroom Spore Printing -- UPDATE!
DESCRIPTION:WORKSHOP UPDATE — NOW JUST ONE DAY! Join us on October 21st  from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm!In this collaboration with the fungal world\, Ridgefield artist Barbara AW Wright will share mushroom knowledge and teach her method for creating art from mushroom spore prints. In the morning\, we will use Barbara’s prepared spore prints to make our own unique collages\, and after lunch Barbara will lead participants on a foraging expedition to gather mushrooms from the farm\, so you can bring home a kit to keep the work going in your home studio!All materials will be provided\, and a materials fee will be included in the ticket cost. Please plan to bring sturdy walking shoes\, clothes that match the weather\, and a sack lunch. Coffee\, tea\, water and light snacks will be provided. If you have mobility support or other needs\, please let me know at arts@pnfarm.com and I will work to accommodate you as best I can!If you are a Ridgefielder\, you know Barbara’s passion for creating arts opportunities for young people. For this workshop\, we are excited to welcome area high school students and arts educators to join us free of charge. Please send an email to arts@pnfarm.com if you are a young person\, parent\, or teacher\, and we’ll save you a spot! A portion of the proceeds from regular ticket sales will go towards the PN Farm Arts scholarship fund\, so we can continue to make our offerings accessible! Barbara AW Wright is a Ridgefield-based artist and arts champion. A former cartographer and educator\, Wright turned her skills to natural science illustration after retiring\, and enjoys sharing what she knows.
