SUMMARY:Stitch the Winter with Nicki Eybel
DESCRIPTION:Come get cozy with needles and thread!\n\nWe will warm up our fingers with needle and embroidery floss” in the first 2 hours\, stitching a small sampler of 4-6 stitches. In the afternoon we will then practice some of the those stitches creating bare branch and evergreen winter trees. We can look out the windows at the Farm\, or use our imaginations. Simple\, sweet\, cozy and creative. New stitchers welcome! \n Coffee\, tea\, water and light snacks will be provided. Please bring a sack lunch and anything you need to be comfortable. Materials will be provided. Accessibility Note: This workshop takes place in an historic farmhouse that is not currently wheelchair accessible. We will work to accommodate access however we can\, but please email arts@pnfarm.com to confirm that the space will work for you before you commit to the workshop! \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout our teacher\n\n\n\nNicki Eybel is a newly retired early childhood educator. She is now a mixed media collage artist\, lately focusing on abstract stitching. As a member of the Columbia Fiber Arts Guild\, she is active in the Handstitching Group and has enjoyed a daily stitching practice for the last 2 years. She has exhibited in local locations. SUMMARY:Creating Space — an art show
DESCRIPTION:2025 Spring ShowWe are thrilled to announce our first fine arts show\, created in collaboration with Ridgefield artist Ann Fleming. One of our goals as an organization is to support artists working right here in Clark County\, and we have brought together an incredible lineup of artists who fit the bill.Drop by the farm between 10 am and 5 pm on Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th to see how this historic home looks all dressed up by the work of 9 local artists. With a special focus on North Clark County\, featured artists include Ken Spurlock\, Nancy Casey\, Valerie Conrey\, Teri Corle\, Lee Herrman\, Ann Fleming\, Janine Littrell\, Brenda Berg\, and our 2024 Summer artist-in-residence Sharon Svec. The work on display will include painting\, collage\, clay\, textiles\, and bronze sculpture. Music will be provided throughout the event by finger style guitarist Kit Garoutte. There will be snacks! No RSVP needed\, but get in touch at arts@pnfarm.com if you have any questions! Here are just a few of the things you might see at the show (and have a chance to make your own!): Ann Fleming Lee Herrman Valerie Conrey Ken Spurlock Nancy Casey

DESCRIPTION:We had so much fun celebrating World Collage Day last year\, and we hope you’ll join us on Saturday\, May 10th for take two! Bring your collage supplies or come empty handed. We will have materials\, inspiration\, and a few collage artists on hand to guide your creative cut and paste! You can call it a vision board\, you can call it a collage\, you can call it a blissful day of sticky fingers and scissor snips — just come on over and play with us!More details to come (we’re hoping to announce some surprise guests from the collage world)\, but RSVP today to save your spot. You can come for the morning or afternoon\, or bring a lunch and stay all day! There will be tea\, coffee and light snacks provided. A suggested donation of $25 will be accepted at the farm\, but please feel welcome with or without the donation!Please note: If you have accessibility needs\, please reach out and we will work to accommodate you. While we strive to make our workshops accessible to all\, we are located in a historical home that does not have accessible restrooms at this point; our lowest entrance has two steps to enter; and this workshop is planned to be out on the land on uneven ground. We do not require masks at most events\, but we do have masks available on site\, and run high quality air filters\, and ask that if you are not feeling well\, please stay home. SUMMARY:Gelli Plate Landscape Collage
DESCRIPTION:We’re so excited to welcome the multi-talented Ann Fleming back to the farm for a full-day gelli plate workshop. Her mini-workshop at the Open House was standing room only\, so she’s coming back for a full day of exploration and creativity!Gelli plates are a wonderful tool. They can be used for mono-printing and for creating unique\, spontaneous\, and original collage papers. In this workshop we will focus on the creation of collage papers. Once we have lots of papers completed we will create abstracted landscapes influenced by the beautiful surroundings of PN Farm. Along the way Ann will teach you how to look for value shapes using a Notan application.Each participant will have the chance to complete at least one piece of original artwork\, along with starting their own collection of collage papers for future art works. A $10 material fee is included in the price of this ticket. There will be snacks\, tea\, coffee and water available throughout the day; please plan on bringing a lunch (microwave\, stovetop\, fridge and toaster available for your use). Bring some outdoor gear for possible short stroll\, and come prepared to get messy!Please note: If you have accessibility needs\, please reach out and we will work to accommodate you. Reach out to arts@pnfarm.com to request financial aid for this workshop!About the instructor: After a successful 25 year career as a potter creating architectural elements and brightly painted functional ware\, Ann began to focus on sculpture.  Her bronze figurative sculptures have been shown extensively across the Western US\, with over 350 pieces in private and public collections. In 2016 Ann turned her focus to painting and mixed media.  Using acrylics and the addition of handmade collage papers\, Ann describes her process…“I want the surface of the painting to draw you in as much as the subject or the story.”  Her work is figurative in nature\, focusing on the female form. With a Masters degree in art and teaching\, Ann taught art at Oregon College of Arts and Crafts\, Multnomah Art Center\, Lewis and Clark College and has taught several workshops.  Ann has also been active in arts organizing\, contributing to the founding of art festivals and co-operative galleries and doing board work for multiple art organizations.
