It’s going to be a little bit of sculpture\, a little bit of alchemy\, a little bit of geekery and a whole lot of magic—and we can’t wait to have you join us!This two-day workshop will be limited to 8 participants\, so sign up early to ensure your spot!Dreamed up over the wood lathe with sculptor Lila Ferber last February\, the Festival of Pen and Ink is for anyone who wants to get their hands in on the crafting of writing and drawing tools. In addition to Lila with her 4 traveling wood lathes\, we will be welcoming Molly Holmlund of Foraged Ink (she’s amazing\, trust me! We’ll begin our time together with a short walk on the Oaks to Wetland Trail. We’ll make new discoveries along the way and see how we can use these in our journals to record our findings. Then we’ll return to the Refuge Headquarters building and use our journals to learn to paint a bird with watercolors. I moved to the beautiful PNW fifteen years ago and call this home. I love the natural beauty we are able to see each and every day.
