BirdFest & Bluegrass Art Contest

We are excited to announce the inaugural BirdFest & Bluegrass art contest!
This partnership between The Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and the Ridgefield Art Association is open to bird-loving visual artists of all ages and skill levels!
We invite submissions of bird-themed artwork, particularly featuring species found within the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge! Shown above are past winners from the Washington USFWS Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest, including a painting of a wood duck on the water by 13-year-old Sophia Q, and American Wigeons by another talented young artist.
Cash prizes await the winners, and entry is free. We welcome the following age categories:
Hatchling: K-4th grade
Nestling: 5th-8th grade
Fledgling: 9th-12th grade
Adult: 18+
To enter, each participant must fill out all items on the contact form below. Please contact imstacy0209@gmail.com if you have questions.
Contest Rules:
- No Digital works
- No Photography
- Original works only, no reproductions please!
- Work must be bird-themed (preferably birds commonly found at the Refuge)
- Entries must be received between 12 & 4 PM on Friday, October 3rd.
- No mail-in entries
- Deliver your work to: Ridgefield NWR Headquarters, 28908 NW Main Ave, Ridgefield, WA 98642
- Same-day entries Will NOT be accepted
- Please pick up works by 3 pm on Saturday, October 4th
