In this one-day generative and experiential poetry workshop, participants will delve into the Poetics of Change. The group will have the opportunity to visit three locations on Plas Newydd Farm that will be essential to the future habitat and wetland restoration work planned for the farm. At each location we’ll learn a little about the past, present and potential futures of the site, and write to prompts inspired by each place.
After our farm journey guided by PN Farm’s Abby Brathwaite and David Morgan, we will return to the house to share some of what you have written in a safe, supportive environment.
No experience writing poetry is necessary! Christopher and Abby will provide all the guidance needed to access this workshop!
Please bring comfortable clothes and shoes for the weather, a journal and pen, a sack lunch and a water bottle.
Scholarships are available if cost is a barrier! Please email arts@pnfarm.com to inquire. We received a generous gift to seed our scholarship fund, and don’t want to turn anyone away if we can help it!
***Please note*** While we will be driving to the locations around the farm, there will be an opportunity to walk a short distance at each location. Terrain is uneven. Please let us know at arts@pnfarm.com if you need mobility assistance, and we will find a way to support you!
