New Date!!Join us on January 25th and 26th for the first annual
PN Farm Arts Festival of Pen & Ink. It’s going to be a little bit of sculpture, a little bit of alchemy, a little bit of geekery and a whole lot of magic—and we can’t wait to have you join us!
This two-day workshop will be limited to 8 participants, so sign up early to ensure your spot!
Dreamed up over the wood lathe with
sculptor Lila Ferber last February, the
Festival of Pen and Ink is for anyone who wants to get their hands in on the crafting of writing and drawing tools. In addition to Lila with her 4 traveling wood lathes, we will be welcoming
Molly Holmlund of Foraged Ink (she’s amazing, trust me! I drove over to White Salmon last spring to take a workshop with her, and it was lovely), and an as-yet unnamed but super cool book artist.
Participants will work in cohorts of four (don’t worry, we’ll mix up our groups) and will leave the weekend with:
- 2 pens hand-crafted on the wood lathe, made from fallen oak and elm harvested here on Plas Newydd Farm
- Ink made from materials gathered on the farm
- A hand-bound journal
- A collection of short writings or quick sketches generated from prompts offered throughout the weekend.
If you need a scholarship for this workshop, please get in touch by
email and we will do our best to accommodate you!
Speaking of accommodations, we have limited housing available on a first come, first served basis. Again, get in touch with Abby if you have questions!
